This piece was designed and made for a sculpture exhibition, the design developed over many hours of exploring twisted shapes and we are delighted with the finished design that looks stunning when displayed in a large open space.
We made a pair of these benches out of Oak and we scorched the oak end panels to provide some texture and contrast.
Made to order.
This was an extremely challenging brief as we were called in to design the wooden elements to an existing formed concrete staircase, working with the clients and architect we developed this design that made full use of our making and CNC skills to make the walnut handrail.
These floating stair treads are made out Black walnut and Ash, there is a metal structure fixed into the wall that supports each of the treads. The sculptural treads are then applied to the metal supports to give the floating effect.
An excellent collaboration between Waywood, client and numerous professionals to achieve the desired effect.
The handrail was made out of Black Walnut and Ash with tensioned wire supports.
We took some of the shapes that were used on the stair-treads to create this complementary piece.
These four curved bookcases were made for a garden room library, they were made out of Ash and Black Walnut.
The bookcase sides were fluted to bring some texture to the bookcases, all the shelves are adjustable with an additional pull out shelf.
