One our most exciting - and certainly longest-running - projects came to fruition late last year, and we now have some photographs of it. Gloucester Cathedral had been devising and implementing a scheme for around ten years to create choir seating and communion table at the top of the nave, so that both were visible and felt approachable by the congregation. About five years into the project they were ready to select designers and makers for the furniture itself, which is where we came in, having first been shortlisted from 15 makers and then won a design competition amongst the shortlist of 4. We were certainly delighted with the result, and believe the Cathedral are too - maybe the long gestation contributed to such a successful outcome. If you find yourself near Gloucester, why not have a look - I'm sure they would be pleased to welcome you.
We are of course always delighted to receive enquiries for ecclesiastical furniture from churches large and small!

One of our more unusual jobs this year is a collaboration with Greenunit [3], a company that has designed and is building the 'arc-haus' [4], a fascinating wooden house with great ecological credentials - and enough to bring out the inner hobbit in anyone!
We were not responsible for the original design, but are helping with technical design in the form of 3D CAD work, and cutting the complex shapes using our CNC machinery.
It's like we've always said: so long as we think we can do an excellent job on a project - any project - we are pleased to be involved, and this one is a fascinating one.
